My Weight Loss Surgery Journey: Countdown to Transformation

Hey everyone,

Can you believe it? It's just 16 days until my weight loss surgery, and I'm feeling absolutely fantastic! The anticipation is building, and I can hardly contain my excitement.

Next week is going to be a bit of a challenge as I prepare for the big day. On Tuesday, I'll be saying goodbye to my beloved veggies and focusing solely on my protein intake. It's all part of the process, and while it's a bit daunting, I know it's necessary to ensure everything goes smoothly.

The following week, I'll be transitioning to a liquid puree diet. Yep, you heard that right! It's going to be a whole new experience, but I'm ready to embrace it with open arms.

April 2nd is the date I've been counting down to – the day of my surgery. But before that, my journey takes me on a little adventure. On March 30th, my journey begins as we board an Amtrak train bound for Portland. Then, on Easter Sunday, March 31st, we'll be flying out to San Diego. It may seem like an unconventional route, but it was the most cost-effective option for our journey.

Once we arrive in San Diego, we'll spend a night there before heading into Tijuana, Mexico, the following day. It's all part of the plan, and I'm looking forward to soaking in every moment, especially since we'll be staying at a beach house upon arrival. April 1st, ironically April Fool's Day, will be a busy one with check-ins and some necessary blood work.

And then, finally, April 2nd arrives – the day of my surgery. I can't even begin to express how excited I am for this next chapter in my life. It's been a long road to get here, but I know it'll all be worth it in the end.

I want to take a moment to apologize for the brief hiatus in updates. Things have been a bit hectic, but I promise to keep you all in the loop as the countdown continues.

I am truly grateful for all the support and encouragement I've received throughout this journey. Your words mean the world to me, and I couldn't have made it this far without you.

Stay tuned for more updates as I embark on this life-changing journey!

With love and gratitude,

Marylyn
